Getting the Seed House Ready for Burpee

Had a productive day at work today — Roger Beer and his crew came out to tackle some much-needed rough grading around the Seed House for Burpee Seed. It was one of those jobs that might not look glamorous, but it makes a real difference for the long-term health of the building.

The crew installed two ramps on either drive-through door and made sure the grade slopes away from the foundation — which is exactly what you want to keep water from working its way in over time. Watching a good crew do this kind of work is satisfying in its own quiet way. Everything done right, the way it should be.

It’s always good to see this old building getting the attention it deserves. Little by little, things are coming together nicely out there.
