A Rolling Stones Night Out with Our Favorite People

There are some nights that just come together perfectly, and our recent trip to Sellersville, Pennsylvania was one of them. We went to see a Rolling Stones cover band, and honestly, it was such a great time. Good music has a way of bringing people together, and this night was proof of that.

We were lucky enough to have fantastic seats, which made the whole experience even better right from the start.

We went with some of our absolute favorite people. First, Uncle Phil — or “Philmont” as we call him — joined us along with his wife Susan. Uncle Phil has been “Uncle Phil” for as long as any of us can remember, and that nickname is just never going away, which is exactly as it should be. Then there was my big brother Dave and his wife Jodi. Dave and Jodi have been married 25 years, and Christine and I are coming up on our 30th anniversary. We always note that we’re kind of in sync because Jodi started working at the party store the very year Christine and I got married. There’s something really sweet about that little connection.

The band put on a tremendous show. A Rolling Stones cover band done right is something special — all those classic songs filling the room, and everyone around you singing along. At some point during the evening we even got a chance to pose with the performers, which was a highlight for sure.

Of course, no good night out is complete without a proper nightcap, and we made sure to take care of that.

A nightcap

Nights like this are what it’s all about — good music, great company, and a whole lot of laughs. With our 30th anniversary coming up and Dave and Jodi celebrating 25 years together, it felt like a little celebration all around. Here’s to many more nights just like it.
